NW Study Room Survey

The Northwest Library study room survey was conducted from Oct. 29 to Nov. 11, 2013. Surveys were offered to each customer who used a study room during that time period. There were 55 surveys completed. The survey results show that more than 90% of customers had a very good or excellent experience using the study rooms. 98% indicated that they were either extremely likely or very likely to recommend the rooms to a friend. 91% found the rooms to be either extremely clean or very clean. 58% found the temperature to be comfortable, 19% found the rooms to be too warm and 23% found the rooms to be too cool. Many of the additional comments reflected dissatisfaction with the room temperatures. 83% found the acoustics met their needs either very well or extremely well although several comments reflected concerns with the echo. 95% found the staff to be either extremely friendly or very friendly. 96% found the staff to be either extremely helpful or very helpful. Additional comments indicated concern about the lack of trash cans in the rooms and a need for the tables to be cleaned on a regular basis. As a result of the survey the following steps have been taken to improve customer satisfaction with the NW study room: •Trash cans have been purchased and placed in each study room •Study room tables are wiped down each morning as part of the daily opening procedures.
