Identify and reestablish relationships with community partners.
- Schools
- Staff presented to Library Media Specialist students at University of Central Oklahoma
- As of 11/01/2014, recent relationships have included meetings & work with the Edmond Public Schools (including visits to Sunset Elementary, Ida Freeman, Orvis Risner, Mercy School, Cheyenne Middle School, Sequoyah Middle School, Summit Middle School, Santa Fe High School, and Boulevard Academy)
- Staff collaborated with Edmond North High school and co-teaching units with Summit Middle School and Oklahoma Christian Academy
- City of Edmond
- Director of Construction and ED Manager of Library Operations met biweekly with City of Edmond officials to address the long-standing parking shortage with multiple solutions
- An agreement between MLS and City of Edmond has been approved by both parties to construct 17 new parking spaces and additional on street parking
- Project requires the cooperation of an adjacent church
- Local Organizations
- Annually the Chamber of Commerce arranges for the Leadership Edmond class to visit the Edmond Library as part of the program's curriculum
- Presentation given to the Edmond Exchange Club
- Presentation given to the Edmond Noon Lions Club
- Staff visited the Senior Center at Mitch Park
- Presentations given to a newcomers group, Unpacking the Boxes
- Library tours provided for a number of scouting troops
- MLS staff are working closely to facilitate volunteer experiences for a local Girl Scout troop
- ED MLO has been invited twice and participated in the Chamber of Commerce President's 12 @ 12 - a small group opportunity by invitation only to meet with the Chamber's President and give feedback

During the recent winter storm that caused extended school closures, the Edmond Library was able to accomodate a second GED class that normallly meets at a local middle school.
