New from Staff Association: The Great Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The weather is starting to cool, days are getting shorter, and it’s time for The Great Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Every branch, department, and location is invited to participate and compete as a team for The Great Pumpkin Decorating Contest Trophy and a year full of bragging rights.  

Staff Association will provide a medium-sized pumpkin to any location which requests one by Thursday, October 15, but entrants are welcome (and encouraged!) to purchase their own glorious gourd if they would like something larger or more representative of their creativity. The entry form will open Thursday, October 15 and close at the end of the day on Sunday, November 8.  

The pumpkin may be decorated any way you like: carved, painted, embellished, whatever! Ideally, designing and decorating will be a group effort by all members of the department/location entering. Just remember to keep designs work-appropriate, and the base must be a pumpkin. 

Entries will be displayed on the intranet for staff to vote on their favorite for the People’s Pumpkin Choice Award.  A variety of superlative awards will also be handed out, and one overall winner will receive the Great Pumpkin Trophy, a bucket of goodies, and a year of bragging rights! Voting will be open November 9 – 16 and winners will be announced the following week. It is our intent for this to be an annual event and as such the Great Pumpkin Trophy will travel to the winner’s location each year.
