SeptemberFest
Date: September 8, 2018
Time: 10a – 3p
Location: Oklahoma History Center
Number of Staff needed: 5 per shift
Shifts: 10a – 12:30p; 12:30 – 3p

Event Description: Septemberfest is a FREE family festival exploring the rich heritage and diversity for which Oklahoma is known. This event features crafts, music, storytelling, agricultural exhibits, theater, face-painting and everything in between. Families are also encouraged to bring picnics to enjoy on the lawn, and food vendors will be on site.
The Governor's Mansion will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Septemberfest provides a hands-on experience that showcases our state’s past, present and future. Attractions include, but are not limited to: arts and crafts, bungee station, clowns, chuck wagon cooking, face-painting, laser tag, museum exhibits, Oklahoma musicians and performers, pony rides, square dancing, read aloud storytime provided by Metropolitan Library System. Join us for this celebration of the heritage and culture which make Oklahoma unique! This year the theme is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the musical, Oklahoma!
Wiggle Out Loud
Date: September 16, 2018
Time: 10:30a – 4:30p
Location: Myriad Gardens, Devon Lawn
Number of Staff needed: 3 per shift
Shifts: 10:30a -1:30p; 1:30 – 4:30p

Event Description: Wiggle Out Loud is Oklahoma City's free, active-family music festival benefiting The Children's Hospital Volunteers. Wiggle Out Loud aims to get kids of all ages movin’ and groovin’ their way to healthier lives. Come celebrate healthy lifestyles through movement and fun! This is an event for all ages featuring music, activities, artwork and more. Locally owned businesses will offer a variety of healthy foods and beverages for maximum energy to keep you movin' and groovin' all day long. Collaborations with arts organizations add color and texture to the festival atmosphere with creativity-inspiring activities.
Pumpkinville at Myriad Gardens
Dates: October 5 – 21, 2018
Times: Daily from 10-5
Location: Myriad Gardens, Children’s Area
Number of Staff needed: 2 per shift
Shifts: 9:30a – 12 noon; 12 noon – 2:30p; 2:30 – 5p

Event Description: Join us for our seventh annual Pumpkinville, in the Children’s Garden! Beginning October 5, bring your friends and family to one of the most treasured fall treats in Oklahoma City. Enjoy crafts, activities and imaginative displays from our New England Pumpkin Town that will get you in the spirit of the season. Each weekend families can enjoy activities and entertainment. Presented by OGE. Sponsored by Express Employment Professionals and E.L. Thelma Gaylord Foundation, Children’s Garden
On-going Events at Pumpkinville
- Friday-Sundays Cider Press 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Pumpkinville Tent near the Thunder Fountain $1 per cup of cider
- Every Day Story Time 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. inside Pumpkinville FREE
- Every Day Pumpkinville FREE Crafts 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Pumpkinville Tent near the Thunder Fountain FREE
- Every Day Face Painting ($5-$10, prices based on design)
- Saturdays and Sundays ONLY Pumpkinville Express, our Gardens train, running from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. $2 per rider, Infants FREE
Note: YES’s and Children’s Librarians, if you are interested in signing up to do a storytime, please let me know by Sept 15, so I can coordinate with Myriad Gardens.
Shifts are to man a table with library information and a pop-up library. Please let me or Kelley Riha know if you are interested.
Healthy Senior Day
Date: October 9, 2018
Time: 9:30a – 12Noon
Location: Edmond’s Mitch Park YMCA

Event Description: FREE * OPEN TO ALL * FOR YOUR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Healthy Senior Day is a free community event designed to provide Active Aging Adults 50+ the educational and physical opportunities that can help them live with greater health and happiness. At the YMCA we believe in building overall healthy lifestyles in spirit, mind, and body.
Join us at Mitch Park! We will begin with a short community walk around the Mitch Park Trails at 9:00am. Community agency booths open at 9:30am and class demonstrations will start at 9:30am and run until 2:00pm.
Stockyard Stampede
Date: October 20, 2018
Time: 10 – 4p
Location: Stockyard City, Agnew & Exchange, north by the Post Office
Shifts: 9-12; 12 -3p (last shift can break down and leave when promotional materials are all given out)
Event Description: This event is for residents across the greater OKC area and attracts families from OK County and beyond. We man a MLS table to promote library services and your individual library programs. MLS Outreach will provide an Outreach Kit and MLS swag items, you are expected to bring flyers for any programs you want to promote.

I can do Pumpkinville Monday, Oct. 15 9:30-12:00 and Friday, Oct. 19 9:30-12:00.
