Manager Comments:
Two comments: "We plan to get volunteers from local businesses to do the presentations and assist with interviews." -When will you know who is going to volunteer/present? Who are you planning to contact? "Attendants will be invited to fill out a short survey and give input into successes and needed improvements." -Tell me what success really looks like. Picture in your head turning to your colleague and saying, "that went great!" What happened to make you say that? Don't tell me that attendance will be considered, tell me how many people in attendance means success. Tell me what you will be looking for on those survey results that will clearly mark this as "successful" or "not successful." In short, after this is over, how will I know whether or not we should do this program again?

How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program promotes Interreach by putting library members first and developing individual growth. By offering a presentation on professionalism, we can educate young people on what is expected of them in a standard interview and job. By providing mock interviews, they can experience the interview process and receive feedback, in a constructive setting without posing actual risk to their future employment.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?:
Not only will attendants get the information they need for success, but they will also have the chance to practice utilization of this information. Additionally, we'll offer resume guidance and promote library services, such as usage of our materials, computers, and the Cypress Resume database.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Attendants will be invited to fill out a short survey and give input into successes and needed improvements. We will also consider the number of attendants.
