Come do crazy science activities with the Southern Oaks Library Teen Advisory Board. Race balloons, learn science tricks, and more. For kids and teens.

This program is designed to help PT & Teens learn motor skills, critical thinking and teamwork skills. It also is designed to teach physics principles and pique young peoples interest in science.

Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?: 
7th grade online students need STEM training and do not get enough of it. They also need socialization/teamwork skills training. I will advertise to this group.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
If participants learn something. And if participants, their parents, and teachers from online schools are satisfied with the outcomes.

Yes, order through RFP or shop locally for additional supplies.
Supply/Shopping List: 
Balloons various sizes and shapes, paperclips, binder clips, fishing line, straws, Ivory Soap, paper plates, tape, glue, hot glue, card stock, card board, dowel rod...to start. Much of this I already have in stock at the library.
Final Comments: 
I may probably do this as two programs in February. One during the daytime for online charter school students only.
