Is a program the best way to meet the expressed need or present information?:
Yes
Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
Yes
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
Urban communities are disassociated with nature and the natural world. People often have irrational fears of animals, such as snakes, and may kill many snakes that are good for gardens and urban habitats. They also kill other plants and animals that are intricate to the environment because of ignorance and/or fear. Programs such as this help urban dwellers see nature in a new light. I hope they will begin to see the natural world as a system we must live within instead of fear and despise.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
