Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:

Without a job and the ensuing meeting of physiological and safety needs, patrons can not satisfy their curiosity and engage in Lifelong Learning. See Maslow's hierarchy of needs for more information
This program meets the expressed & normative need of this community for anyone who believes skilled employment is a “need”. The reasons this community is in need of this program include...
1) Right now, three-quarters of the fastest-growing occupations require more than a high-school diploma, and yet just over half of our citizens have high school level education or less.
2) US Grant High School has one of the highest drop out rates and some of the lowest test scores in OKC.
3) Without economic help many young people in my area are not qualified for jobs that will pay them even a subsistence wage.
4) In a knowledge-based economy, the demand for a highly skilled and educated workforce has never been greater.
Why will this program be successful?:
Young people in this area need help getting an education, finding job skills and employment.
How will success be measured/determined?:
If it connects Job Corps with young people that benefit from their services
