Program Description: 
Subtitle: LEAD | Description: Live well, Eat well, be Active, with Diabetes. In this basic diabetes management program, participants will learn helpful ways to control their diabetes through physical activity that can improve glucose levels, following a low carbohydrate diet, and take-home recipes for healthy diabetes cooking. A diabetes-friendly recipe will be demonstrated at each lesson taught by registered dietician and Oklahoma County Family Consumer Sciences educator Amanda Ford, MS, RD/LD. Whether you are diabetic, pre-diabetic, or just looking to change your eating habits, L.E.A.D. is a great class for you. Supplement your learning with the library's books, videos, and informational databases. This is a recurring event taking place on Wednesday for three weeks.
