Teens can take the long-standing holiday tradition of making gingerbread houses to the next level with the Gingerbread Challenge at the library! Compete to make and decorate the best confectionary creation.

- Graham crackers (allow for at least one regular-sized box per four participants) - Royal icing: o Confectioners’ sugar o Cream of tartar o Egg whites - Ziploc bags - Foil - Cardboard rectangles (for the base) - Serrated knife and cutting board - Bowls - Paper towels - Wide variety of decorations. Here are some suggestions: o Pretzel rods o Gumdrops o Licorice o Coconut o Skittles o Candy canes o Peppermints o Ice cream cones o Marshmallows - Optional: plastic coverings for tables - Optional: prize for contest winner
