PPC - Adding a Program

  1. Click the Add button or click Add New Program from the side-menu

  2. Simliar to the PPC homepage you will notice when you add a program it is divided in two parts.
  3. To the right you will notice a Progress section that is outlined in 5 different parts.  Let's take a look at those parts and what's required in those sections:
    1. Program Identification - Identifying the Program

      1. Program Title* - What is the program called?
      2. Location* - Which library do you work?
      3. Program Type * - Select from the list of what type of program it is.
        • Single Event
        • Multi-Date Event/Series
        • Recurring Event
        • Outreach Sponsored Event
      4. Description* - add a description or your BLTed program write-up.
      5. Date of Event or Dates & Times of Recurring or Multi-Date Event  - Enter the date(s) and time(s) of your event
        Depends on what Program Type event is selected
      6. Once you've added all of the content required of this section, you may click the  button to proceed or click the    button to save your progress.
    2. Program Decision - Identifying why you're doing the program

      1. Does this program fit the program format? Yes/No
      2. Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?* Yes/No
        If Yes, you will have the opportunity to answer: Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?
        If No, you will not be able to proceed forward with answering questions about the program.
      3. Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?
      4. Is program likely to be successful?  Yes/No
      5. How will success be measured/determined? - How will you measure the success of the program and why do you believe it will be successfully?
      6. Once you've added all of the content required of this section, you may click the  button to proceed or click the    button to save your progress.
    3. Program Planning (Presentor, Supplies, Marketing) - Identifying the Presenter, Outlining Resources, and Marketing

      1. Is sufficient time available to have a Info Magazine Listing?  Yes/No
      2. Is sufficient time available to request MaC materials and display them for at least 2 weeks (45 days)? Yes/No
      3. Does the presenter have the proper credentials, training & positive references? Will the presenter be successful in presenting this program?
        Yes/No
      4. Is this presenter in the Performing Artist Index? Yes/No
        • If yes, you can select a presenter directly from the Performing Artist Index with the Locate Presenter field
        • If no,  you will get options for Presenter Name, Presenter Address
      5. Are volunteers needed? Yes/No
      6. Are supplies needed? 
        • Yes, will order through Business Supply closet. 
        • Yes, shop for perishable supplies. 
        • No, we have all the supplies we need. 
      7. Comments box - Any other items you wish to address surrounding the program planning.
      8. Once you've added all of the content required of this section, you may click the  button to proceed or click the    button to save your progress.
    4. Program Execution & Review - Review for Manager and Evaluation After the Program

      1. Are you ready for your supervisor to evaluate this program? - Yes/No
        • If you select Yes, an email will send to your Manager for review. 
        • If you select No, no email will send to your Manager for review. 
          It's important to select yes when you are ready for your Manager to review the program.
      2. Are you ready to evaluate your program? - Yes/No
        • If you select Yes, you will get options for evaluating the program.  This should only happen after the program has been approved by the Manager and the event has actually been held. 
      3. Once you've added all of the content required of this section, you may click the  button to proceed or click the    button to save your progress.
    5. Manager Input - Input and Approvals from Manager

      • Once your Manager is emailed from Step IV #1, they will have the option to approve the program and provide any additional information.
