Mittens, headbands, scarves, phone cases, stuffed animals-- the possibilities are endless! Learn a new skill and express your inner craftiness in this beginning crochet class just for teens. Local artist Savannah Mitchell will walk you through the basic skills needed to start your first project, and we'll have books available on ideas for what to create next! All supplies provided.

This program will provide introductory crochet instruction for teens in the community. It will allow teens with a common interest to learn together in a "101" environment where they can ask questions to learn a new skill. We will provide the supplies for teens to learn with, and an assortment of related materials from the collection will be featured in the program.

Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?: 
Savannah has a great track record of working with teens at MLS locations system-wide. This program will provide the opportunity for teens to learn something new, free-of-cost.

Attendance, customer feedback, and level of community engagement (co-promotion with art teachers, through the newspaper, etc.)
