Program Description: 
Could you be a foster parent? Have you ever thought about fostering? If you answered yes, come find out more at our Foster Awareness and Family Recriutment Fair. Join the Edmond Library as we partner with DHS, local foster agencies and foster families for an afternoon of information and sharing. Speak with agency representatives about the support and resources, talk to local foster families to get your real-world questions answered, and find out from DHS exactly what you need to become a foster or adoptive family.

This program creates a productive and enjoyable learning environment for a topic in which many people in the Edmond area have expressed interest. It expands our community integration by forming and strengthening partnerships with multiple local organizations. It also offers the opportunity to reach new or occasional members by bringing in people who might not normally come to the library, and offers all participants the opportunity to be involved in community enrichment.
