Program Description: 
Recent survey data in Oklahoma reveals that 1 in 5 Oklahoma students are bullied while at school, and 14% of Oklahoma students experience cyber-bullying in digital space. Please join us at the Downtown library for an evening of “Bullying Prevention” practices appropriate for the family, school and community. Representatives from the Metropolitan Library System, Oklahoma State Department of Education, Oklahoma State Department of Health, Oklahoma PTA, and more will be present to provide resources for those in attendance. This workshop is for people of all ages - students and adults alike. After the program, be sure to check out the library’s fiction and non-fiction resources on bullying and bullying prevention.

Why will this program be successful?: 
Yes. A similar event was held at the Southern Oaks library two years ago to a crowd of 80. The event also garnered positive media coverage. The event will be promoted by the Department of Health, Oklahoma Anti-Bullying Coalition and the library.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
Success will be measured by media mentions, attendance and also how attendees respond to the material presented.
