Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?:
The event was held last year with fantastic attendance numbers. The event coincides with Free Comic Book day, which will draw people into the library. It also falls on the same week as "Star Wars" Day and the release of the new "Captain America: Civil War" movie. By utilizing both characters in the marketing artwork, we will be able to piggyback off the fact that Super heroes will be very top-of-mind.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Success will be measured by showcasing the library’s collection of comic books, and how many are checked out. Success will also be measure by attendance and attendee response to the various activities.
