Tai Chi for Better Balance Wednesdays, April 15,22,29, May 6,13, & 20(Recurring) 6 weeks Adults Tai chi: Moving for Better Balance is an evidence -based fall prevention program that was designed to be used in community-based organizations. Accumulating evidence suggests that Tai chi eight-form exercises is an effective means of improving balance, functional limitations, and strengthening muscles, which reduced the risk of falling. Tai chi is a low-impact dance-line exercise that can be done in almost any location. It also helps to build confidence from the fear of falling, which is commonly found in a community of older adults. Room set-up: Clear Floor Table with wheels for resource materials (books & DVDs)and handouts 4 chairs on south wall near coat rack Lighting(Spotlights ONLY) Bottled water in refrigerator Pink lamp on back counter with sign-in sheet & waivers Pre-Registration 25
