A Memory Cafe is a social gathering for those who are experiencing early stage dementia, memory loss, or cognitive impairment to attend with a family member or care partner. The Cafe is a place to have fun, find support, and bond with each other, using program materials designed for remembering and sharing.

Why will this program be successful?: 
There is a great need for it in the community. Two days ago, when I was describing this program to a member, she wept in gratitude at the desk. The social isolation that memory loss brings to a family can be devastating, and the library is positioned to foster community connections here.
