Program Description: 
Can you bend like a pretzel while balancing on one leg? Yoga doesn't have to be crazy or hard, it can be fun and challenging; making you stronger in body and mind! Join other kids your age and be guided through easy yoga poses and on to better health. Then checkout some kids' yoga books and videos and continue learning beyond the class!

Summer Reading Theme: On Your Mark, Get Set, Read Physical fitness program makes yoga fun for elementary aged children. Participants will learn new exercises and strategies for managing stress.

Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?: 
With childhood obesity rates at a high level, there has been a strong push in elementary schools towards physical fitness and stress management programs, including many schools experimenting with Yoga as a means to manage both of these needs. Our community is very engaged and active, with many people expressing an interest in health and wellness activities. We expect the program will be well received here at the BI library.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
Attendance, increase in children's materials with emphasis on health & wellness or stress management.
