Playtime

Sharing in playtimes is an excellent way to help children build social skills, promote learning and discover that the library is a destination for fun! Children will have the opportunity to practice skills such as: following directions, socializing with others, using language, using small and large muscles, and remaining in control during play.

Playtime is an opportunity for families to use the library to promote brain development and early childhood pre-reading skills. The program assures families that the library welcomes them and includes them in library activities.

Ensure a Welcoming Experience: Visitors are welcomed into an atmosphere of hospitality, exemplary service, and friendly interaction.
Why will this program be successful?: 
Playtimes are one the most successful library programs in attendance and we have many families that attend regularly.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
Attendance by 8 to 14 children per session. Families will use other library resources while at the library and take library resources with them to use at home.
