Parachute Play and Story Time provides a welcoming atmosphere to families of very young children. Families can know that the library provides activities for the youngest age group. The program is an introduction to the library and its services to families. Children are introduces to books, music and nursery rhymes.

Ensure a Welcoming Experience: Visitors are welcomed into an atmosphere of hospitality, exemplary service, and friendly interaction.
Why will this program be successful?:
Play programs have proved to be a draw for families with young children. They are some of the best attended programs for this age group. This program provides a unique, more social type activity that helps children begin to learn to cooperate and take turns.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Attendance of 8 to 15 children and their caregivers at the program. After attending, families will want to come to future programs for their children. Families will use library resources on their visit to library such as music, books, recorded books, tablets, children's computers and check out items to take and use at home.
