Play and story times provide children with the opportunity to develop mental skills, language skills, physical skills and social skills. The library is a center to promote all these development benefits represented in the goals of the play program.

Ensure a Welcoming Experience: Visitors are welcomed into an atmosphere of hospitality, exemplary service, and friendly interaction.
Why will this program be successful?:
Play times use research based practices that promote child development. Families appreciate the opportunity to bring their child for play and the library.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Attendance by 8 to 12 children and their caregivers at each session. Families will use additional resources of the library with their children on their visit and take these resources home.

The Play and Story Time on Thursday, May 11 will include a double sessions starting at 9:30am and 10:30 am to make available sufficient space for the anticipated audience of 16 to 24 children and their caregivers.
