Program Description: 
Jump, run, bike, roll, or slide on over to Almonte Library for a summer reading kick off party, Olympic Style! Munch on a snow cone torch and create a laurel crown as well as participate in wacky Olympic themed games. Don't forget to sign up for the summer reading program while you're here!

This program meets a couple of goals: the commitment to learning as enjoyment and putting library members first. It does so by providing fun games that teach teamwork and cognitive skills such as decision making, crafts that allow creativity to blossom, activities that promote healthy living through kinesthetic activity, and emphasizing the importance of reading during the summer (and all the time).

This program allows customers to socialize through games, get creative through crafts, as well as market our summer reading program.

Success will be determined by word-of-mouth, summer reading sign up from that day, and attendance of the program.
