Yes
Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
Yes
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program supports the value of library members first. This will be a chance to reach out to our afternoon adult/senior adult crowd to make them feel welcome and provide an opportunity for them to socialize with other library members.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Ensure a Welcoming Experience: Visitors are welcomed into an atmosphere of hospitality, exemplary service, and friendly interaction.
Why will this program be successful?:
This program is open to adults of all ages, but I will be especially focused on encouraging attendance from our senior population. The seniors that I have visited with love to read, but have limitations on their time and abilities to all read the same book. The open format of this book club will encourage attendance and socialization with their peers.
How will success be measured/determined?:
I will gauge the success of this program by listening to feedback from attendees.
