Our programs are based on the philosophy that children learn best when they are using their curiosity and imagination to explore in productive and creative ways.

1 Scientific Expressions is a two-part presentation and hands-on workshop, designed to complement the Summer Reading Programs of Oklahoma Libraries, that explores the science behind theatrical production.

Grossology The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body splats, oozes and bursts into life in this entertaining and unconventional look at the way the body works. It may be icky, stinky, slimy or gross, but it's part of life! Spend an hour with us participating in messy experiments, creating fake body by-products and venturing through the grossness in our everyday lives.

Airplanes to Astronauts Bugology From tail draggers to stealth fighters, barnstormers to moon They creep...they crawl...they're everywhere - from the farthest walkers, Oklahomans of vision have looked to the skies and corners of the globe to your own backyard, and even between beyond. Come along on this hands-on adventure and see the walls of your room. Join us as we take a bug's eye view of if you have the right stuff to survive in the sky and beyond. the world in this up close and personal look at our crunchy little Create you own craft and soar among the clouds. friends. Learn the anatomy of many different arthropods and discover an important purpose of our buggy little neighbors.

2 Lights. Sound. Action! Pre-K through Teens In this 45 minute audience participation presentation, a scientist will demonstrate some of the physics behind production techniques used in early theatre. From the physics of light and exploration of the color spectrum, to the physics of acoustics and power of sound waves, kids will learn about the science artists have been using for thousands of years to express themselves.

Shoebox Theatre Pre-K through Teens In this 45 minute workshop, students will be guided through making their own shoebox theatre, using the science that is explored in the Lights. Sound. Action! From lighting schemes to Foley artist props, participants will experience the fun and gratification of creating all the tools they need to put on their own diorama play.

The Mad Scientist’s Lab Just what does it take to make bubbly, smoky, crazy chemical concoctions that turn heads and make everybody wonder? How does water disappear or change strange colors? In this fun-filled hour, we’ll mix, mash and create with chemistry to discover just what it takes to be a mad scientist!
