What is Laughter Yoga? Laughter Yoga is a unique exercise routine developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria. It combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing which brings more oxygen to the body and brain making one feel more energetic and healthy.
Anyone can laugh without relying on humor, jokes and comedy.
Laughter Yoga is a fun, stress reducing, healthful and energizing session using laughter as an exercise. This playful laughter session will guide participants through simple techniques of clapping, stretching , breathing and laughter exercises without the use of humor or comedy. This group activity for all ages encourages eye contact and childlike playfulness making our laughing real and contagious. It is based on the scientific fact that the body cannot tell the difference between fake and real laughter. A brief review of the history, benefits and the rationale for Laughter Yoga will be included.
