Background/Hobbies:
Jean Hill opened her Oklahoma City-based Irish dance and music program in June, 1998, after over a decade of performing as an Irish dancer and musician. In the 1980's and 1990's, there were no certified Irish dance teachers in Oklahoma, so Jean learned her steps and ceili dances at various workshops around the U.S. Her workshop teachers included Donny Golden, Mary Caitlyn Smith, Deirdre Goulding, Tony Nolan, and Meighan Carpenter. From 1999-2009, with partial support from the Oklahoma State Arts Council, Jean brought a number of certified Irish dance teachers into Oklahoma both for her students and for all interested dancers in the region.
