Workshop: " Puppet Time for Teachers and Adults.
Learn the art of puppet making to share with your students or friends. Paper puppets, cardboard puppets, and large box puppets are made during this workshop with Oklahoma artist, Patrick Riley at the library. Develop voices for your puppets and practice making them talk.
This is a one day workshop for adults.
It can be offered in a three hour format also.

Workshop: Puppet Time for Students: Ages-- 4th 5th grade --- middle school---high school
Want to make a puppet that talks. Oklahoma artist and ventriloquist, Patrick Riley, will teach you how to make a box puppet and learn the art of how to make it talk. He will introduce you to his own antique puppet, Freddy. Come to the library and learn to be your own puppet master.

This workshop can be two to three hours-- a morning session at the library.
Puppet Time for Students: Ages -- 1st thru 3rd grade
Let's make some cut out cardboard puppets and create our own puppet show. Oklahoma artist, Patrick Riley, will help you cut out your own cardboard animal puppets. He will introduce you to his own talking puppet, Freddy. He and Freddy will help you make an animal puppet show.

This workshop can vary from one to two hours.
Puppet Time for Students: Kindergarten
Let's draw and color animal puppets. Patrick Riley, Oklahoma artist, will introduce animal puppets to the children and tell stories about them. Each child will draw and color their own designed animal puppet. Patrick's antique talking puppet, Freddy, will meet the children. Come to the library and enjoy puppets.
This group can take 1st grade also-- but I encourage all kindergarten--possible Pre K..

30 minutes to one hour in length.
Puppet Shows for kids
Come and meet Freddy the talking puppet and more of Oklahoma artist, Patrick Riley's, talking puppets at the library. Hear stories about character building and animal tales. A special feature show about solving a conflict between Tiger and Lion.

Background/Hobbies: 
G. Patrick Riley is a nationally recognized mask maker, arts educator and administrator. He holds a Master in Art Education from the University of Oklahoma and is a specialist in arts integration. His delightful and inspiring residencies offer a wide range of experiences from mask making to student designed and executed large-scale paintings while he brings to the students a rich understanding of native cultures.
