Share Time
- - Cheryl at SO – parachute play, sensory playtime (Messy Playtime) one activity Animal Rescue – tape animals to a background and kids get to practice fine motor and take them down. Phil did a Gingerbread program recently. Cheryl will have Gingerbread houses for kids as a process art type program in December. Holiday Shop for kids coming so each child can come and pick a gift for two family members.
- -Chelsee at WA – Reading Buddies is doing well in after-school time. Tech Help for adults is going well with sign up through LibraryMarket. Puppet Theater will become a coffee shop. Messy Playtime coming in December. New staff member onboarding soon.
- -Tess at NW – Lots of storytime! STEAM for toddlers and preK in January and robotics program too.
- -Robin at NW – Lego Robotics team going to their first competition this Saturday at Francis Tuttle in Edmond. Partnering with the YMCA taking programs there once a month. First craft is mandalas. Cardboard Creations with a Tiny Town.
- -Sally at VI – Weekly storytime, Mother Goose on the Loose, parachute play. Apple Pie time was done next door last Saturday after a Covid timeout. Juliet is doing Full Steam program. Elizabeth has a grant for RACE dance to come teach hip hop on Saturdays.
- -Dara at DN – Pumpkinville storytimes are done. Paranormal Fest is done and successful. Working with Jon Rex for weekly visits. Starting Saturday storytimes in the spring. Palomar for women and families, a justice center, beginning their partnership again.
- -Tracy at MC – Just started in early October so slowly starting programming. Have done Lego Club and storytime and After School Art Hour great attendance for a last minute program. Tracy is looking for some room control tips for programs.
- -Andrew at ED – Live Action Chess a couple of weeks ago with Chess Club. They taped down a board and kids loved it even though it was a slow game. Itty Bitty Dance Party last week.
- -Marc at ED – Live Action Chess, Halloween Makeup – Zombie Makeup was fun and well received.
- -Anne at ED – Trunk or Treat with Edmond Public Schools and Noon Year’s Eve
- -Amy at AL – Haunt the Library with lots of stations throughout the library. In December, will have Joy Fest. Hybrid storytime continuing. Human Body project with elementary school kids. Going to start going to the Boys and Girls Club at a local elementary school and see how it goes and develop a format. Mobile Market is great!
- -Bridget at RE – Participated in Science Museum Fall Fest. Has a volunteer who is a retired engineer who wants to partner with STEAM for little kids.
- -Nicholas at RE – Storytime Club House has many 2- and 3-year-olds coming as regulars.
- -Gloria at CH – Take Home kit for the World Cup going home soon. New 3D printer has arrived. Day of the Dead storytime very well attended.
- -Anna at BE – October event with YMCA next door in conjunction with their Story Walk with lots of slime! 500 people in attendance! Laura has a bilingual book club in collaboration with Putnam City Schools monthly. Little Explorers STEAM program for 2-6 year olds in the spring. Laura has created a house in the Children’s area that was a haunted house, will be a gingerbread house in December.
- -Shana at CL – She has been doing lots of Outreach – Luther’s FarmStand storytime. Pumpkin Chunkin’ with catapults with second graders at Choctaw Elementary. Working with the media specialist to increase participation in Sequoyah reading program.
