Share Your Win & Join Staff Association In Supporting Metro Staff
COVID-19 has disrupted just about everything in our daily lives, including the way we work. Dealing with extra cleaning, wearing additional PPE, and drastic alterations to the way we conduct day-to-day business are just a few of the impacts. This can take a toll on us both physically and mentally. Sometimes, talking about the ways we are adapting and listening to others talk about how they are handling similar situations can be helpful. Staff Association wants to facilitate this kind of healthy dialogue, so we have come up with two ways you can participate.
The first way you can join the conversation is by filling out the form below with something positive that has happened at your location recently – we’re calling these our “wins.” It can be easy to be disappointed with everything going on, and to forget that there are still good things happening. By sharing the good things that we see, we remind ourselves and one another that not everything is bad. Your submissions can be as brief or detailed as you like, and they will be shared in an upcoming edition of the Staff Association newsletter.
Second, we are starting a forum thread within the Staff Association intranet dedicated to talking about COVID and the repercussions it is causing within Metro. This is a place to share how you are adapting to the various phases of re-opening, what is or is not working for your location, and other relevant discussions. It is also a place to see how others are handling the same things, and to share ideas and support for one another. We hope to see honest and uplifting conversations here – we do not want to gloss over the difficulties, but we also do not want to get stuck thinking only about the negative aspects. To get to the forum from the intranet home page, go to the top of the page and open the drop-down labeled “Staff” and find “Staff Association.” On the right side of that page click the link to “Member Forum,” and then find “COVID-19 Staff Discussion.”
