Bed Bugs

As you may be aware, KOCO did a news story the other night on bed bugs found in the Village Library. A similar story may also be aired on KWTV as the same concerned citizen emailed all local tv stations. You should know that we take all reports of bed bugs seriously. Staff are to inspect library materials upon return for condition and routinely inspect our furnishings.  We strive to maintain an up to-date collection and facilities that are safe, clean, and well-maintained. We have protocols in place to handle any pest issues that come to our attention.

Also, according to the Center for Disease Control, bed bugs are not known to spread disease. Bed bugs can be an annoyance because their presence may cause itching and loss of sleep. https://www.cdc.gov/parasites/bedbugs/faqs.html
