At Almonte, we are "Building a Better World" one hand knitted gift at a time. Our knitting club invites you to join us as we make yarn dolls and other simple hand made items to donate to charity. All yarn crafters are welcome - no experience required.

This program supports the core value of commitment to learning as enjoyment. Our knitting club will use this opportunity to involve our whole library in a service project.

Ensure a Welcoming Experience: Visitors are welcomed into an atmosphere of hospitality, exemplary service, and friendly interaction.
Why will this program be successful?: 
This program will be open to adults and teens. Our main craft requires little experience/time and our attendees will be proud of what they have created.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
At the end of the summer, our knitting club will be donating the crafts made to Sharing Tree, a nonprofit organization located near Almonte. The feeling of accomplishment and community spirit of working on this project together will make this program a success. Success will be measured by library member feedback and participation.
