Unfortunately, this may not make the printed calendar of events due to the program not being placed in the calendar three months prior, so we'll need to rely on local promotion. Turn your trash into your garden's treasure! Join our local Master Gardener as she discusses and demonstrates the various ways to compost in and around the house, no matter where you live. Oklahoma gardening books will be available to check out and get you started on your way to a healthy home garden.

This program meets the core value of "Commitment to Learning as Enjoyment." Gardening is a very relaxing way for people to stay active. Program attendees will be encouraged to share their gardening strategies with each other as well as seek advice from a Master Gardener.

Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?: 
Composting is healthy for the environment and ties in nicely with celebrating Earth Day. We have a wide variety of gardening books for attendees to check out as well.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
Success will be measured by observing the dialogue of attendees after the presentation. I would like to see attendees share their gardening plans with each other.
