Collection maintenance informs my reference skills and I consider it essential to remaining a well-prepared librarian. Yet I also love outreach and programming. Will I still be able to do my current job duties after the alignment?
Collection maintenance will move to the Access Services area of responsibility, and will not fall under the Engagement jobs. You can still utilize and integrate the collection in your other duties, but maintenance of the collection will be someone else's job.
