Alignment Committee

Is there any chance that additional individuals might be added to the Alignment Committee?

I appreciate the transparency of posting the membership along with the intentions in choosing the members. I definitely understand not wanting to create a committee which has an individual from every possible position represented. As you stated though, 90% of the Alignment impacts public services staff and the majority of the committee does not interact with the public very often, because of the nature of their positions. That isn't a criticism of anyone who is on the committee-- I'm lucky to have worked with most and it's definitely a group that represents the positivity and professionalism you outline. It seems like there might be more room for voices of people who are working at least half their time on a public services desk though.

I look forward to hearing any thoughts!

Committee assignments

Thanks for asking, Kate, but I don't think we need any additional folks on the Committee. While there is always room for more voices, in this case, I am satisfied that the folks we have tapped for this assignment will be able to give us the depth we need -- in their current positions and their future roles. As we've mentioned to all of the groups with whom we've spoken, we anticipate needing help on specific activities within the project, and for that we'll call on other staff members to fill out functional team. There will be plenty of opportunity for folks to get involved ... You'll hear more about it this week when we speak with staff from Downtown. Hope that helps.
