This program meets the goal of "commitment to learning as enjoyment" by creating a relaxed atmosphere for library members to gather, share information, and learn about library services.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Ensure a Welcoming Experience: Visitors are welcomed into an atmosphere of hospitality, exemplary service, and friendly interaction.
Why will this program be successful?:
This is currently a successful program at SO which I would like to try here at AL. This program will set aside a time for our older library members to meet and talk about new books while enjoying games and refreshments.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Feedback and attendance. I will be observing the participation levels and ask for suggestions from our library members for activities that they would to have as part of this program. Having this program mid-morning will be good for older library members who prefer not to drive at night.
