Program Description: 
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Come to the library for a kick-off party for Banned Books Week 2016. We’ll hang out and play games as we learn about why it’s important to protect our freedom to read. You might be surprised how many books you’ve read that have been threatened to be removed from your library. Come and celebrate the freedom to read at the Choctaw Library!

The program will include a buffet of fun, from food, a place to take photos, and games.

The whole program is about banned books so I will definitely have our own selection of YA and tween books that have been challenged available in the room.

I think it will be a fun program that will primarily be for tweens, but everyone is welcome.
