I know this may not be the healthiest dish, but I have made a few tweaks to bend it that way.
1 box angel hair pasta (you can do whole wheat, but I don't like the texture)
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce (I use Ragu Super Chunky Mushroom)
1 large or 2 small zucchini
1 small box button mushrooms
1 large carrot
1 large or 2 small yellow squash
1 lb. ground turkey, preferably 85/15
1 package sweet Italian turkey sausage
1-2 Tbsp each: garlic powder, pepper, Italian seasoning (or basil)
1. Take sausage out of casing and brown turkey and turkey sausage together, keeping it in small crumbles and seasoning it with spices (garlic powder, pepper, and Italian seasoning).
2. Start water for pasta.
3. Peel carrot, and chop carrot, zucchini, squash, and mushrooms into equally sized chunks.
4. Sauté vegetables lightly, keeping them crunchy.
5. In a saucepan, combine vegetables, meat and sauce.
6. Boil and drain pasta.
7. Combine and enjoy!
