Salute: Julie Ballou

Although I want to recognize Julie for her cultivation efforts, I believe that she exhibits all four characteristics of going beyond. Over the past year, Julie has facilitated several What Would Marion Do? trainings to over a hundred of our staff - and she's not done yet! This practical training, a brainchild of the PIE committee, was developed to meet a need for staff to help recognize library and MLS foundational values and philosophies. Julie does a fantastic job in helping staff draw from their experiences and examine how they might be able to address situations from various perspectives.  While informative, she also creates an atmosphere of fun during the trainings, which makes learning that much more valuable!
