Construction Updates - July 23 2014

The Final Programming Report was issued on 6/10/14. OKC continues to review
The Guernsey Architects Contract Revisions were verbally approved on 7/11. The agreement is expected to be presented to the City Council on 8/12/14
We are still working with OKC to finalize the Construction Budget
The Economic Review Board is scheduled to review & approve the TIF Funding on 8/17
MLS & OKC met on 6/23 to review CH Art procurement process. Donna issued a recap on 7/11.
Based upon the above, we have begun the process of scheduling the start of the design work.

The agreement was approved by the MLC on 7/17/14
This agreement will be presented to Edmond City Council on 7/28.
The design contract will not be approved until the agreement with St Mary’s Church has not been finalized.

99.5% DD (Design Development) plans & outline specifications were issued on 7/14.
MLS returned plan comments on 7/21 and is currently reviewing the specifications
Studio is to provide an updated estimate on 7/28.

Atlas remains committed to the start of warranty work on August 14th. It is expected to take 3 weeks. It will involve the closing the entry off of 122nd street for 5 to 7 days. The work includes the replacement of broken glass, folding partition repairs, repairs to the outside fire sprinkler system and concrete & sealant repairs.
OKC is still reviewing how to address the repairs to the derrick glazing system.
Johnson & Associates surveying company was at the library on 7/22 to create a “topo” survey of the existing grades at the location of the monumental sign.
