“When I paint for myself, I like to paint from my travels. French café scenes and landscapes. I do a lot of beach scenes because I go to California every year. When I go to the beach I take pictures of what I love to paint.” Much of Thompson’s work is done by the request of the purchaser. “I do a lot of commissions,” Thompson said. “I sell paintings from my panel, but primarily I do commissions.”

Robin, a 1986 OU graduate, paints mostly colorful watercolors, often with fine lines and bright patterns. Her favorite subjects include American Indian or Guatemalan mothers and babies, landscapes with people in them, beach scenes and children playing sports. Thompson has been painting for more than 25 years.
