STEM Enhancements to Children's Programs

The theme for the upcoming summer reading program for children is Fizz, Boom, Read. We have asked Science Museum Oklahoma to develop a "Science Storytime" workshop to be presented at the spring Children's Services Retreat in April. This training will teach children's programmers how to use children's literature, non-fiction materials, simple demostrations, and hands-on activities to enhance their existing programs in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). While the main focus of this training will be on storytimes, the training will also including ideas for how to adapt programs for older children (such as book clubs and craft programs).
