Construction Updates - June 12, 2013
- CAPITOL HILL – The Capitol Hill Project Agreement - Guernsey’s contract is now scheduled to go to Oklahoma City Council for approval on July 2nd.
- DEL CITY – Metropolitan Library System has provided copies of the Capitol Hill and Jones project agreements to Del City for their review. Donna and Todd are working to schedule a meeting to go over the review with Del City.
- DOWNTOWN – Studio has submitted a proposal to the City of Oklahoma City to analyze the costs to repair the leaks.
- EDMOND – Todd stated the purchasing of land adjacent to the Edmond Library for additional parking does not look possible at this time. An alternate option need to be developed soon.
- EDMOND II - Edmond has not included any funding for a second library in their budget for next year.
- JONES – The architect from Studio has taken another job. Therefore the process with Jones has slowed down. Additionally, Todd is working to finalize the budget and meeting with Studio today to review the current budget.
- NORTHWEST - The Construction Department met with The City of Oklahoma City on Tuesday, June 11th to review the outstanding issues list that includes about 30 items.
- Two major issues:
- Derrick Glazing – The City of Oklahoma City is working with the Atlas & LWPB on this issue.
- Landscaping - Construction is meeting on Thursday, June 13th to review which trees and plants need to be replaced.
- Other work:
- A contract has been awarded to AVL to finalize the AV design. The first meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 18th. Todd expects to bid in July & award in August.
- Studio is working on a monumental sign and will provide an update during the Jones meeting today.
- RALPH ELLISON – Sewer issues continue at Ralph Ellison Library. The City of Oklahoma City has decided to hire FSB to prepare plans for replacement of the sewer line.
