Purpose: To discuss make recommendations and decisions on issues having system-wide impact on library operations.
Ground rules agreed upon:

- Start and finish on time
- Speak up and ask questions
- Raise issues in the meeting
- Respect confidentiality
- Be respectful of others’ opinions and time
- Notetaker comes prepared and coordinates with review team to ensure accuracy and that action and future planning items are clearly noted.
Intacct Budgeting Software
- An explanation of the software was given and questions were answered about the budget and Intacct.
- There will be software that will assist with budgeting for next fiscal year, with training in January.
- Budgeting for FY19 will begin in February.
- If there are any areas that manager’s would like further training or clarification in Intacct please let Charisse know.
Collection Development Update
- A system level Collection Plan was shared with the managers and it is a working document, not a final product.
- Each library will have their own collection development plan which will assist with budgeting and help in the future to see why decisions were made, as well as, providing a guide for the collection. Staff from Collection Development will start visiting large libraries in January to discuss the plans and then move to the smaller locations.
- Start conversations with staff about the collection: What is working best? What issues are there? What would the dream collection at the location look like?
After Hours events
- The form has been updated to include a signature line for the Directors of Member Services to ensure that all of the correct people are aware that an after-hours event is occurring.
Tax Aide talking points
- Conversations have been ongoing with AARP for over a year about the tax help program.
- Tax help will be at SO and RE this year with some changes to help make the program more successful.
- A talking point document will be shared but some highlights are: AARP is still offering assistance throughout the county, lists will be available that will show the sites throughout the metro area, Tax Help was an AARP event and will always be an AARP event.
- The Library website will still have links to online tax help.
- If you know of locations in your community that have tax help you can share them with Jessica Gonzalez and she will check them with the list that the library links to.
Access Training
- Risa shared a handout that had information about the access training for the spring.
- Access Manager training is open for the AMIIs and AMIs, it will open for Library Manager’s next week.
- Workshops 1, 2, and 3 of the Access Training will need to be completed sequentially.
- The spring workshops will be for AMs and ASIIs primarily, there will be some room for other staff to be determined by the library manager at each location.
- Normal training will start in the fall next year.

- Discussed the positive impacts and challenges with the access perspective of the service model.
