Virtual Storytimes – Kristin & Brittney
- Creating a rotation for virtual Storytimes
- How often? 1/wk? 1/mo?
- Multiple library locations are currently hosting virtual story-times. Therefore, possible rotation may not be needed.
- Kristin and Kellie D. discussed possible ways of grouping and marketing the programs already being offered. e.g. removing ‘zoom’ from the title and using the word, ‘virtual’ and ‘online’.
Children Reading to Dogs – Heidi Port
- ED, SO, and NW are pilot libraries offering in-person CRTD
- Discussion on how participants will be socially distanced during program was shared.
- Additional branches can provide CRTD if volunteer team certifications are up to date and assigned.
- Kudos-Allie and Emily for initiating virtual CRTD
EPS Updates
- New STEAM Kits – Emily
- New steams kits available through the lending library, new kits include:
- Button makers
- Makedo construction kits
- ‘zine’ kits
- Hybrid tech kits
- Mobile chrome book lab
- New steams kits available through the lending library, new kits include:
- Summer Reading – Kristin
- Training due by the end of April
- Marketing materials are being updated
- Yard signs will be made
- Fine Wavers will contain a disclaimer of validity (depending on the Friends decision to extend the fine waiver test program)
- Last year for paper bags
- Bags will have handles

- Supplies will be sent out in waves and will be sent out soon.
- Sunglasses will be included in the supply catalog
- 1st round of SR books has been sent and 2nd round of books will be sent out soon
- Decision to have a SPOC for SR supply orders will be left to each individual library.
- YA SR books count as a youth book prize
- Fall 123! Play with Me! - Kristin
- Thanks to those that helped with Spring kits
- In-person will occur in the fall
- 1-2 people will be needed to help plan and organize professionals for the program
- Read Across America
- 3000 in attendance
- 700-800 counted with + those not counted who attended Storytimes ~1500 in attendance.
