OES Updates
Winter Reading recap- Kristin
-
What worked well? additional coupon prize was a draw, mugs were very popular (dishwasher/microwave safe), guests said BINGO categories pushed them outside of their reading comfort zone and they liked that aspect, great display opportunities
-
What didn’t work? Some weren’t into the BINGO idea but once it was explained that any 5 books worked they participated, maybe have a spot for list of 5 for those who don’t want to do categories or share the LBM printable doc with libraries
-
What ideas do you have for next year? Monopoly board idea as another idea for gamification, new mugs every year would drive participation, travel mugs
Summer Reading – Kristin – training due Saturday, supplies are being shipped in waves, toolkits are on the intranet, marketing is going to the printer, June/July combo Info magazine, Metro Family Magazine ad, Beanstack challenges are live and pre-registration is open, teen volunteers in person this year
