Wellness Champions 2021-2022
What is a Wellness Champion?
A Wellness Champion is an designated MLS employee -- usually one at each location -- who serves as leader to implicate Wellness Connect challenges and opportunities to immediate co-workers. They help educate, empower and promote healthy living to our employees.
What Does a Wellness Champion Do?
- Serves as the Wellness Works expert at their location/department for two Wellness Years
- Helps with program implementation
- Attends a quarterly meeting to discuss the program (1 hour)
- Announces new challenges and wellness opportunities to immediate co-workers
- Encourages immediate co-workers to participate
- Provides input on the program
- Relays employee feedback to Wellness Works staff
- Updates the Wellness Works display holder as needed
