Brief Annotation :
When children go missing, it's the kinderstalk who takes them. That is what is told to the children of Howland, but is it true? Annie is being sent to the Drop, almost as bad as being taken by the Kinderstalk, but she will not go without a fight. As Annie tries to avoid the fate of many of the other children of Howland, she discovers who she really is and that her destiny is to be more and do more than she ever imagined.
