Ellen Mercer “Laughter Yoga” presentation: laughter exercises with deep breathing. She would like to have laughter programs at libraries.

Adult programmers need to promote and support Summer Reading Program: Training on Intranet

Bookfest in October
Ages: 19-54
Participants must read (or listen to) 4 books
No sign up prizes in order to spend more money on reading prizes

Possible reading prizes: ear buds, iPod Touches, Thunder tickets, Pottery Barn lunch boxes, memberships, movie tickets, netbooks, flashdrives with MLS logo

Winter Read Fest-CT had winner

Shortened to 1 month instead of 2
Participants must read 4 books
Ages: 55 and older

Darlene (DN): mock trial and lawyers not well attended, Disaster Preparedness program involved business instruction, Senior Day: Noon Tunes and Silent Movies (Doug in MaC)

Phyllis (DN): Genealogy classes at branches now, 2 Metro U classes available

Harry (DN): the Native American Festival and the Asian Festival have become the Multicultural Festival

Darrie (SO): Thanks to OUT and AARP volunteers! Resume program, Thomas Edison program, Disaster Preparedness programs were a success. 12 week fitness program through Health Department

Suzette (MC): Belly Dancing Class, Japanese, Spanish, Tulsa Race Riots exhibit, Going Green/ cost effective approaches, Snake Program, Wii while you wait, Resume, and Health Fair

Juliana (VI): Winter Read Fest successful, Tax Help, Census Training, Red Cross, Writers Group appreciates library, OK Municipal League met at VI, Village Fair=bad weather but fair turnout

Anita (OUT): Mr. Edison program=not great attendance but those who came loved it, Senior Expo, Joan Colee-Senior Cabaret for over 60

Susie (CT): Tai Chi-change in instructor=drop in attendance, Fitness Program, Metaphysics workshops, German, WWII Reflections, Genealogy, Big Read

Ann (BI): Laughter Yoga, Metaphysics, Knit Guild, Getting Started on Your Mystery Novel

Kelly (WA): Census, ESL, Last Coffee Break, OK Senior Legal Resource Center, Beginning Genealogy, Disaster Preparedness, Piano Masterworks, OSBI display
