Construction Updates - May 1, 2013
- ALMONTE – The transfer of the Almonte Shopping Center has been completed. Construction has received their first invoice and the City of Oklahoma City continues to suggest they have big plans for the center.
- CAPITOL HILL – The contract negotiations with Guernsey remain on hold until the City of Oklahoma City and the Metropolitan Library System work out some issues at Southern Oaks and Northwest Library. A meeting has been scheduled Thursday, May 2nd, for review.
- DOWNTOWN - Studio Architects will submit a proposal to the City of Oklahoma City this week to update the cost to repair leaks at the Downtown Library.
The City has awarded the design contract for the 180 Park Ave work. We have asked to be involved with the design work. Construction is scheduled to start spring 2014.
As part of the 450 budget review, the Construction Department is going to look at what can be done with the three most significant / current leaks: 2nd floor north windows, 2nd floor above the public computers and the 4th floor consortium office. - EDMOND PARKING – Edmond staff expect to submit additional information to the Edmond City Council the first week of June.
- JONES – The Construction Department has had a bit of a setback with Jones Library. The architect they’ve been working with, Cale Lopp, has resigned. Todd will be meeting with the project architect on Friday, May 10th, to review current issues. This will impact the schedule.
- NORTHWEST - Construction continues to work with the City of Oklahoma City on the outstanding 40+ issues at the Northwest Library.
An eleventh month inspection, related to the LEED mechanical aspects of the project required by the contract has been scheduled for Thursday, May 2nd. - RALPH ELLISON – The Business Office is looking at what can be done to correct the sewer problem.
- SOUTHERN OAKS – Construction is working to secure the final close out information for the SO project.
