Construction Updates - April 17, 2013

  • ALMONTE – The Almonte Shopping Center has been sold to Smithkor Investments, LLC. C/o Kenny Smith at 405-631-3121. Todd has not seen any formal paper work on this, but he did speak with Kenny Smith. Kenny was very receptive to Todd’s request for repair and indicated a desire to fix the place. This includes improvements to the parking lot lighting, cleaning the old grocery store and working to get new tenants.
  • CAPITOL HILL – The contract negotiations with Guernsey have been placed on hold until the City of Oklahoma City and the Metropolitan Library System can work out issues at Southern Oaks and Northwest Library.
  • DEL CITY – No current updates.
  • DOWNTOWN – Studio Architects is working a proposal for The City of Oklahoma City to update the scope of work the estimated cost to repair the leaks.
  • EDMOND PARKING – Edmond staff expect to submit additional information to the Edmond City Council the first week of June.
  • EDMOND 2 – No current updates.
  • JONES – The 50% Design Development Review was submitted on Wednesday, March 27th which reflects the half way point of the design process. We are struggling with a few issues may impact the schedule. I will buy lunch at the Devon cafeteria or your favorite lunch counter near your library for the first person who calls me at 326-9037.
  • NORTHWEST – At present, MLS have about 40 major issues outstanding at the NW library. While we have struggled to get these addressed, progress has been made on one of these issues this week. We are optimistic about additional progress.
  • SOUTHERN OAKS – We are working to secure the final close out information for the project.
